Pre Rainbow

Going through the phase where I do not feel like taking about all the things that I feel uncomfortable with and only sharing those happy moments.

They say the person who looks the happiest is always the saddest person as well. How true this phrase is?

Smiling and laughing.

Without that, we won't be able to have a happy life. Whatever it is, we just need to continue acting happy until the day when we are really happy.

Stay strong.

好想自己是電影里的女主角,男主角,但這一切都要憑著努力與耐心換取。加油吧。每一天都是個禮物。有計劃性的過生活。

Wieliczka Salt Mine [Poland Part 3]

Advice: Book the half day trip from the city centre.

Bochnia Royal Salt Mines (Poland) is an extension to the Polish Wieliczka Salt Mine, inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1978, which is now to be known as the Wieliczka and Bochnia Royal Salt Mines. The Wieliczka Saltworks Castle used for the management of the property was also added to the site. The rock salt deposit in Wieliczka-Bochnia has been mined since the 13th century and is the oldest of its type in Europe. Spread over several levels, it has 300 km of galleries with underground chapels, storerooms and more. It includes altars and statues sculpted in the salt, making a fascinating pilgrimage into the past of a major industrial undertaking that developed over 700 years.

Photos are not allowed unless you bought the pass to take photos.

Temperature is slightly lower in the salt mine. I survived with my shorts. So not too bad yet.

Define Good Life

It's undeniable that the life I live might be better than some.

This is the image I portray.

I believe there are people who are much well off than I am.

It's a matter of how we choose to live our lives.

At times, I might also feel that your life is better than my life.

This is what we term as kiasu. Humans live with comparison.

This birthday, I want to get myself something.
Let's work towards it xxx.

Krakow City [Poland Part 2]

Kraków has always been, in many respects, a charmed city. With a history that dates back to the 4th century settlement of Wawel Hill, Kraków has fortuitously avoided destruction since the pesky Mongols stopped bullying the area in the 13th century, growing into one of the most prominent cities in Central Europe. The most important city in Poland not to come out of World War II looking like a trampled Lego set, even the Soviets failed to leave their mark on the enchanted city centre during 45 years of supervision, forced to erect their gray communist Utopia in the outlying suburb of Nowa Huta. As a result, Kraków is today one of the most beautiful showpieces of Eastern Europe – a claim validated by its historic centre’s inclusion on the first ever UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978, along with the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine and only ten other places in the world. A city of majestic architectural monuments, cobbled thoroughfares, cultural treasures, timeless courtyards, priceless artworks and legendary beer cellars and gardens, Kraków’s historic centre is the pride of Poland.

Kraków’s centre can be divided into two main sections – the Old Town and Kazimierz (the former Jewish Quarter), with Wavel towering between them. These three areas are requisite for anyone visiting the city – even if just for a day – and have been given their own separate treatment with accompanying cultural listings within this guide. Though one could spend their life wandering in and out of the cobbled streets, courtyards, cafes, clubs and museums of the Old Town and Kazimierz (we’ve attempted to make a life out of it), don’t hesitate to take a trip across the river into Podgorze - arguably the city’s most evocative and mysterious district; the Jewish heritage trail also naturally leads here where the worst horror of Kraków’s Nazi occupation played out and Schindler made a name for himself.

The Zombie

It's going to be 3am in 15 minutes time and I am still awake here. Not too sure how I can stay awake at work tomorrow but we will see. That's life, isn't it?

Wanted to go to bed at 2.15am just now, however, ended up with a peep at my groupon voucher for chart nexus training. I remember that I need to call for reservation. Made up my mind to call tomorrow morning and put it down as a task on my calendar.

At this hour before I go to bed, I decided to see if I perceive everything correctly since it has been a while since I have last seen the voucher. The option to email to reserve is also stated on the small prints. Hence, knowing me, I switched on the laptop and light followed by typing the email to the relevant party to reserve. If only I can have an equal level of efficiency for everything. If only everyone else can have the standard for efficiency for everything. Life is should much easier. We all know we have too many obligations and responsibilities to comply. At the same time, we are also aware that things are always left undone when we first start off with wait. What a contagious word - wait & wait & wait.

Stepping into the second half of the year. Hoping to make some progress. Big or small. I need the leapt of faith to keep me going.
